Privacy Policy
After Shoot (“the app”) is a macOS application published for the Mac App Store. This policy explains what the app does — and does not — do with your information.
Photos stay on your Mac
After Shoot processes your photos on your Mac. The app does not upload photos, does not create an account, and does not collect personal data for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
Photos you add stay in the folders you chose. Exported JPG files are written only to the folder you pick. Original RAW files are not modified or deleted by the app.
Subscriptions and payments
When you subscribe, Apple processes the payment through your Apple Account. After Shoot does not receive your card number, billing address, or other payment details. The app only checks whether that Apple Account has an active subscription that allows JPG export.
Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Data the app does not collect
- No photo library upload to our servers
- No account registration with After Shoot
- No tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics SDKs in the app
- No sale of personal information
Local session files
If you open a folder of photos, the app may store looks and adjustments in a small
local file next to that folder (for example .aftershoot) so your edits
return the next time you open the same folder. That file stays on your Mac with the
photos.
